🇨🇺 72 years ago, 160 young Cubans led by Fidel Castro attacked the Moncada Barracks against impossible odds. They didn’t achieve immediate success, many were tortured and killed. But from that "defeat," the Cuban Revolution was born.
In two years, the dedication of our members has built something real, growing, and impossible to ignore. We are proud of what we’ve achieved, and we’re just getting started!
On this day in 1877 workers’ cries rang out against the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad Company in Martinsburg, WV that shook America. Workers of the B&O Railroad walked off the job and blocked trains in protest of repeated wage cuts caused by the Long Depression and corporate greed.
1776 was the first great assertion that the people themselves are the source of political power. American people were sick of the heavy taxes being imposed, sick of the monopolistic trade practices being imposed, sick of the debt being imposed on them by British creditors.
🌳 VIRGINIA WILL BE CLEAN! Comrades of ACP VA came together in Norfolk and Richmond to clean and maintain the public spaces of our great state. These areas are too often neglected by state and local governments that instead waste resources on “public/private partnership” scams.
